The TrueDark Daylights Transition Malibu Sunglasses are TrueDark's solution to a real-world problem: you don't sit at one desk under one type of light for the whole working day. You move between offices and pavements, you take outdoor calls, you walk to lunch in the sun and back into LED-lit meeting rooms. A pair of glasses that only works indoors can leave you constantly switching between two pairs, and most people end up not bothering with either.

The Malibu Transition lenses solve this with photochromic technology. Indoors, the lenses sit at a light yellow tint and filter approximately 75% of blue light from screens and overhead lighting, the same daytime calibration as the rest of the TrueDark Daylights range. Step outside, and the lenses darken automatically in response to UV light, becoming a proper pair of sunglasses that blocks 99% of UVA and UVB rays. When you come back indoors, they lighten again. No switching required.

The Malibu frame is a stylish, unisex silhouette intended to look good in everyday settings rather than like obvious 'biohacker glasses'. The lenses are polycarbonate, scratch-resistant and engineered to TrueDark's patent-pending light-filtering specification. Like all TrueDark daytime glasses, they preserve the beneficial blue light your eyes receive during waking hours; they don't simply block everything.

A practical note: photochromic lenses respond to UV light, so they may not darken fully behind a car windscreen, which filters most UV. They also are not intended for evening or night-time use; for that, switch to TrueDark Sunsets or Twilights as part of your evening wind-down routine.

Do not drive or operate heavy machinery while wearing. Avoid activities that may be affected by changes in colour or depth perception.
