Rosita 5 Seaweed Blend is a true superfood in capsule form. A blend of five wild seaweeds, sustainably hand-cut from the cold, mineral-rich waters of the Pentland Firth in northern Scotland. The Pentland Firth is one of the highest water-exchange straits in the world, which means the seaweeds growing there are washed constantly with clean, oxygen-rich Atlantic water. The result is some of the cleanest, most nutrient-dense seaweed available anywhere.

The blend uses five different seaweeds, each contributing a different micronutrient profile and a different colour family: a true rainbow of green, red and brown algae. Sea Spaghetti (Himanthalia elongata) is a brown algae rich in fibre and minerals. Atlantic Wakame (Alaria esculenta) is a brown kelp prized for its mild flavour and balanced mineral content. Dulse (Palmaria palmata) is a red algae traditionally eaten across Ireland, Iceland and Atlantic Canada, naturally high in protein and iron. Bladder Wrack (Fucus vesiculosus) is a brown algae long valued for its iodine content. Spiral Wrack (Fucus spiralis) rounds out the blend with additional polyphenols and dietary fibre.

Iodine is the headline mineral here. Each serving provides approximately 150mcg of iodine, the kind of meaningful, naturally occurring dose that comes from a real seaweed source rather than a synthetic supplement. Iodine contributes to the production of thyroid hormones and normal thyroid function, the maintenance of normal skin, normal cognitive function, the normal function of the nervous system, and normal energy-yielding metabolism. These are EFSA-approved nutrient claims. Manganese, also found naturally in the blend, contributes to normal energy-yielding metabolism and the protection of cells from oxidative stress.
